The Spring Season will be upon in no time!
Therefore, it gives me great pleasure to announce that the Spring Registration for Booters Soccer is OPEN!
I have all the parent information is listed below.
So let's get ready for a great Booters Season!
RECRUITS FOR BOOTERS OVER HERE!
If you know of any family or friends that have children that would love to be a part of the Booters Experience, please forward this email to them or supply the registration form, or simply point them to the website. The Booters have always been promoted by word of mouth, and with all the options for soccer now, we need to spread to word to as many people as possible!
INFO/REGISTRATION:
The on-line registration form is up and running. You can now register your child and pay on-line. All you need to do is visit http://www.brandywinebooters.com/ and view on the right side of the website the registration and pay on-line link.
You still have the option to download the paper form, fill it out and submit by mail, as well as submitting the reg fee by check. You decide how you want to send/submit everything.
The registration form can be found on the left side of the Booters website.
For the Spring Season, the Booters 1.0 teams (3.5 to 6.5 yr olds) we will have rosters of 4 to 6 Teams of 10-12 kids, and the Booters 2.0 teams (6.5 to 8.5 yr olds) will have rosters of 2 to 4 teams of 6 to 8 kids.
Registration is $60/child (by check or on-line) and is by far the best deal going for the GVSD area!!!
Look for specific emails on when registration will close. Typically it will be the last Friday before start of the season if it is on a Wednesday, or the last Wednesday if the start of the season on a Friday.
SEASON:
The season will typically run from end of March/beginning of April to the middle to end of May. Typically a 6 to 7 week season depending on how Spring Break falls. We will have rain-dates if more than three practice/games are cancelled. Please see the main Booters page for exact dates.
We will continue to hold our Picture Day with Freeze Frame Photos to take pictures of the teams and players. Date and time will be announced shortly into the season.
Then we’ll have our famous season end party on the last Saturday of the season.
Practice/Games will be on our usual Wednesdays (5:30pm to 6:30pm) and Saturdays (9:00am to 10:00am). All games will be at the Bethel Community Park this season.
AGE:
Typical age is 3.5 to 6.5 for Booters 1.0 teams. However, if you have a child outside those lines, don’t worry, as always we’re “flexible.” Holding to 3.5 is about as young as we can go, as our experience has been kids under 3.5 may struggle to last the whole season. Depending on the age spread in league in the Spring we may age bracket the teams so your little one can get the most of their soccer experience.
So use your judgment and/or give me call.
Same idea applies for the Booters 2.0 teams. Age is 6.5 to 8.5 and we have the flexibility if needed.
EQUIPMENT:
Gear needed for the kids during the season:
- Soccer cleats (make sure they are soccer, not baseball. Baseball cleats have a spike at the top of the shoe, soccer cleats do not) Baseball cleats will "dig in" into the ground when you kick because of the spike at the top. We don't want that!
- Soccer socks
- Shin guards
- Soccer Shirt (supplied by the Booters)
- Soccer Balls (supplied by the Booters) Your children can bring their own soccer balls if they wish during practice, that is no problem at all! Otherwise, we'll have the soccer balls, cones, nets for the practice/games.
SPONSORS:
As always we’ll be looking for sponsors. Returning sponsors from the previous season will have first dibs. Just check the appropriate box on the registration form and email me on availability before you send a sponsor check in.
If you are interested in sponsoring a team, cost is $125 and you will have two lines on the back of the shirts and your business name on the Booters Sponsor page!
EMAIL ME if your interested. Shirt orders for the sponsors usually goes in 3 to 4 weeks before the start of the season.
COACHES:
"Booter Coaches are the BEST!"
I say it every season, but without our Parent Coaches, we have no Booters. We will always need to look for new Coaches. If interested check the box on the form and e-mail me back for availability (it’ll be easier for me to track who I have as potentials and returnees). Soccer knowledge is not required (and actually no knowledge is preferred). There is truly no better satisfaction then coaching your kids team and see how they grow as the season goes along. It's also great bonding time with your son or daughter!

The website is up to date. Go to www.brandywinebooters.com As I mentioned before the on-line registration and payment links are good to go. The process is very easy and should take no longer than 5 min to register and pay on-line. So check out the website and the page list of our sponsors!
Also, if you find any glitches in the registration or payment process, email me ASAP so I can get it resolved. I'm no web designing expert, but doing the best I can!
GRADUATES:
If anyone has “graduated” from Booters and does not want to be on the distribution list anymore, just let me know. Also, if you have already emailed me to be off the distribution list, and are still on the email, please forgive me as I am still playing email catch-up.
